I planned a trip before I realized that Houston's biggest convention of the year was going on the same week.  It's nearly impossible to get a hotel during the oil convention.  Anyhow, this hotel is about 30 miles out of my way but at least I won't be sleeping in my car. I usually don't do 2 star, but reviews are pretty good so hopefully it is decent.
