ufauxreal
We will be traveling from New England to Florida. Because of the unpredictable nature of weather, traffic, etc. we are planning on booking a HOTWIRE hotel within a few hours of arriving. We will hopefully arrive at each day's destination by late afternoon.Do you think booking within just a few hours will cause a problem once arriving at the hotel? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
No issue at all. Most hotels (i'd guess better than 95%) have an entirely automated system with PRICELINE / HOTWIRE bookings that it is all electronic and the hotel has your booking almost immediately. In the rare event you win a hotel that is not completely automated (more likely with low rated hotels that haven't invested in the infrastructure to automate the process) any problems can usually be resolved with a quick phone call or HOTWIRE faxing the hotel the reservations. Also, when you get the confirmation from HOTWIRE try to write down the booking reference number (or at least make sure you received the 'acceptance' email with this information on it) as this will always make it much easier to resolve any issues that arise (for any booking... not just those made en-route and at the last minute)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
ufauxreal
Thanks for your quick reply.... most reassuring. I'll be booking via my iPad, and will save the confirmation. Link to comment
