aalbers
I would like to get something around $125. I have found Villa Florence (a 3.5 Star hotel) for $140 without going through priceline so I don't want to go over that price. Thanks Link to comment
AaronJB
At the 4* level, I would start at $90 and work my way higher by $5's - that is likely going to be too low to start (rate/s do appear on the high side for these date/s), but you do have time and I wouldn't bid too aggressively quite yet.In terms of the Villa Florence for $140 and not wanting to go over $125, do you not want to go over $125 in general or only at the 3.5* level? Please let us know if you have any questions before bidding.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. aalbers
All my offers have been rejected up through $135 for these dates. Do prices ever come down the closer we get to travel dates? Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
Hotel pricing is dynamic and is constantly changing based upon supply/demand (which for hotels means reservations, cancellations, hotel occupancy, etc)... if hotels get more fewer new reservations or more cancellations than they expect then it is possible that you see rates come down, but it is also possible that you see rates rise if more reservations (or fewer cancellations) come in relative to current expectations. With the above noted, i'll note that PRICELINE EXPRESS is currently offering a 4* hotel in the USW zone with Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center for $151/nite... so you are not likely too far off.I'll also add that i'm seeing the Stanford Court San Francisco offered for your dates for $179/nite which is full refundable (always double check the dates and cancellation policy on the landing page of the previous link) and you may want to consider booking this as a back-up if you decide not not increase your budget at this time as it will protect you if rates rise, but also allow you to continue to bid in hopes of lower prices in the weeks ahead. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how we can be of further help along the way.
