Yzerman
HiIt's the first time I use Priceline, so I probably need some help... :) I'd like to stay in 4* hotel at the Fisherman's Wharf from Friday, 09/06, for 2 nights. The listing on Priceline is approx. $359/night for 4*. What prices are realistic for that area and date? Or should I go down to a 3.5* to save some $?Any help is appreciated. Greetings from Switzerland. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com (and searching for 1 mile from Fishermans Wharf San Francisco) i'm seeing both 3.5* and 4* hotels at the $300+ range... given these rates, how high would you be willing to bid for a 4*? for a 3.5*?I'm not sure of your plans for this trip and how much time you will actually be in the Wharf area, but if looking for a 'deal', i think you'll find better rates in the 'downtown' areas of Union Square East, Union Square West, and/or the Financial District. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Yzerman
Thanks for your answer. I'd say $220-240 for a 4* and a bit less for a 3.5* hotel. I think we'll do the most things in the Wharf area (Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge), but I don't think I'll get a 4* for $220 a night. Which other areas do you suggest for a tourist in San Francisco? Yzerman
I wasn't able to get a hotel for the prices I'd have liked. So I booked a cheap hotel through their website (Baldwin Hotel). Link to comment
