tokar
Does having an existing reservation with the hotel you are trying to bid for hurt your chances?I am trying to see if I can get a lower rate at The Benson (if I'm lucky enough to get that hotel should I win). I already made a reservation there at $113/ni (a price which is not available anymore) but I see people on the forum have gotten it at $95/ni.I was ready to cancel my reservation, but the hotel doesnt have that $113 rate anymore, so...I don't want to lose that. AaronJB
If you already have a booking at a particular hotel regular rate, that will not effect your chances when bidding (and, as you note, there's no way to know if you'll get that hotel. I would not cancel the back-up until you get something else - keep in mind with rates reported on the board if they are different dates, then they do not necessarily reflect what will be required for your date/s.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. thereuare
If you do win the same hotel, when cancelling the original back-up reservation i always use the reservation number rather than my name to avod any mistakes of the hotel cancelling the wrong one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
