Help getting the best airfare?

Hello! My best friend and I take my two kids to Disneyland every year, and this year we are including her boyfriend in the trip. My car is small and with two car seats there is no room for a big guy like him. After pricing out a rental on a car for a week, gas, parking fees, and seven hours in the car with a three and six year old I decided we should fly. The price of a rental, fees, gas, etc, came out to 1068 roughly. Shuttle service round trip will be 100 with a deal. I will need 5 tickets, and since we already planned to be in the car all day I do not care when we fly. I would like to get my tickets for

120 each but I could go up to 150 after all taxes and fees. Is this realistic, and when should I bid? We want to travel in August for five nights at the hotel but our dates are flexible.

Thanks!

I thought it would be 168, though Kayak is reporting people finding rates around 144 and I even briefly saw a '100' on the best fare calendar. I checked JetBlue last night. I THOUGHT they were a premium airline, but they had fares at $146 round trip with taxes included. I'd have to fly into Long Beach Airport instead of LAX, but I'd be saving $110 on the airfare.

So I guess if I could get 120 into LAX I'd take it, but if I can't, JetBlue is already there.

Using the methods in this Priceline Airfare Re-Bidding thread you have an almost unlimited number of re-bid zones available when bidding for plane tickets. I'd start at 50-60% off your best current offer and increase your bids between $5-15 every re-bid opportnity... more at thee beginning of your bids and less near the end.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
