tg5280
Looking for a 4* hotel in South Beach - Ocean Drive or South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront. Max $150 +/-. I started rebidding and increasing the price, but am afraid I'm going to mess something up and end up by the airport. What do you recommend? Link to comment

Romelle
I started rebidding and increasing the price, but am afraid I'm going to mess something up and end up by the airport. What do you recommend? When you think you have the rebid zones figured out, post the list here and somebody will double-check it for you. Then, check it again EACH day when you start to bid. There can be MAJOR changes, or even tiny little ones, from time to time. If you do it carefully and correctly you are safe from ending up hearing plane noises all night. Romelle Link to comment

Some hotels might not yet have given inventory to PL. Up to you, but maybe only bidding every 3 - 4 days would do for at least the next month. When it gets too routine and/or a bit frustrating errors can happen. Or people can get competitive and bid higher than they meant to. Link to comment
MaestroChris
I would kindly submit that you not lock yourself into the idea that you're going to find a 4* hotel on SOBE under $150/night. While there may be slim chances, I recently went through the same process and thought I was going to be able to find a spot for under $150...I spent about 2 months bidding and rebidding only to eventually end up paying $180/night for Hotel Victor. I was bidding up until the day before my trip. One day, I was up to $220/night before I finally said "enough is enough." Honestly, if I had it to do over again, I'd choose a hotel on Miami Beach or even in the Aventura area...the hotels are much nicer, newer and less congested. Link to comment
