djdynasty
Hey all, Been a long time browser on the site but never actually booked a trip since I've noticed the site. Well the time has come! I am looking to book two rooms in New York City from August 9th to August 12th (3 nights). I would love the Grand Hyatt or Intercontinental. I can get a rate of 200$/nightly per room for either hotel through promo's or Expedia. What would be the most realistic bid to aim for? I would be so grateful for your help. Thanks!! Link to comment

djdynasty
Clicked! I would prefer MTE only because I have been to different hotels (including Holiday Inn in Chelsea and the Doubletree in Chelsea) and I want to get the big city experience this time which I think the Intercontinental or Hyatt (or similar 4 stars in that area) can provide. thereuare
I'd guess you'll likely need to be in the $155-$175 area to be successful for a 4* hotel in the MTE zone... is this within your budget?Let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. djdynasty
I ended up booking the Intercontinental Barclay through the website for this trip. Cost was 210 per night taxes in. Link to comment
