Okay, sorry about not following the procedures. I clicked the link and found a 4* DT hotel for $77 on August 25th.

Amenities are: Free Internet, smoke free rooms, fitness center, restaurants, business center, high-speed, golf nearby.

I'm confused by the free Internet as isn't mentioned in the downtown list. I think it may be the Radisson as it's the only 4* with golf. I just hope its not one of the Hiltons.

Anyone have any guesses?

My guess would be the Radisson with the addition of free internet.

I just checked it again and it now added accessible for the blind, deaf, accessible path, in-room accessibility, wheelchair accessible, handicapped parking, roll-in shower, accessible bathroom. I know a good amount of hotels offer these amenities but it's the first time I've seen them listed on hotwire.

Just reporting, still haven't decided.

I have already inquired about a 4* hotel on the same dates but I'm wondering why hotwire doesn't have a 4.5* dt hotel for August 25th? I know there are many factors but normally they offer a 4.5* hotel so I'm a little surprised. We were hoping to stay at the Graves for that night.

Does anyone have any inkling if there is a trend where they add 4.5 and up hotels closer to the date? I'm wondering if I should wait and see or just book the Graves on some other site?

Hotwire has a 4* hotel for $77 ($161 on other sites) and the only 4* and up hotels for $161 on hotels.com are the Graves, Westin, and Chambers, which the Graves is the only one listed as 4.5* on hotels.com. Conflicting numbers and ratings so I'm at a loss.

In the last 2-3 days HOTWIRE has started to use these additional (accessible) amenities.

As far as no 4.5* properties offered for your dates there are a variety of different reasons... could be early that the hotel has not offered any inventory to HOTWIRE yet, they may not offer inventory for Saturday nite arrivals, they could be busier than usual for this nite and therefore not offering any deeply discounted inventory, they could have a wedding or other event booked and therefore are holding a block of rooms for the event, etc, etc.

Okay, sorry about that.

I found a 4.5* for 8/25-8/26 today. Amenities are: indoor pool, smoke-free rooms, fitness, restaurants, business, high-speed Internet, golf, spa.

I'm thinking it's the Ivy but the pool amenity is throwing me off as no 4.5* hotel states a pool. It states that it's $161 on other sites and I know Hotels.com is working with Hotwire. I found only the Graves and Chambers on Hotels.com for $161 so that makes it even tougher to figure out.

From what I read on other boards on this site, am I right in that Hotwire won't offer a different 4.5* hotel until all of the rooms they agreed upon are sold? After that, they may offer another 4.5* hotel if they work out a different deal?

Can anyone confirm that they have a pool? Or could it be access to a pool at a fitness center nearby or something?

Are you asking if the Hotel Ivy offers a pool on-site... or if the Pool amenity listed by HOTWIRE could be for a property that offers access to a pool at an off-site location?

Whether anyone knows if they have a pool on-site or what you were saying that Hotwire is listing the pool amenity for the Hotel Ivy regarding access to a pool off-site?

Assuming we're right with out guess, the Hotel Ivy does have a pool on-site.

HOTWIRE's description for a pool is:

Pool(s)

Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.

While technically this could mean access to an off-site pool run by a third party, i know of only 2-3 examples of this being the case. So while we can't make any guarantees, i would be very surprised if the hotel you receive doesn't have a pool on-site. The property above also has a 4.5/5.0 TA ratings so it should be of high quality, and not likely the type of hotel trying to 'trick' somebody into booking something because they've listed an amenity based upon a very loose definition of the feature.
