Using the PRICELINE link, I started bidding two days ago for a 3.5 star hotel in either the Loop/Millennium Park, N. Michigan Avenue/River North, or Greater Chicago areas. On day 1, I started with $70 and was rejected. There are three free rebidding zones at that star level, and I raised my bid $2 each time with no luck. On day 2, I repeated the process starting at $78 (rejected) and increasinjg by $2 for the three free rebids; still no luck. Today (day 3), my opening bid of $85 was accepted at the Hyatt (a 4* upgrade). This hotel is within easy walking distance of Soldier Field, which is my destination!
One night hotel: $85
Taxes/fees: $20.79
Total: $105.79
