Thanks--it should be a fun weekend to be in SF and yes, very good deal for Labor Day.
I started at $70, adding in the Financial District, USW, and Marina since they do not have 4* properties there. I tried $70, $75 and $80 before winning the $85 bid. Hope that helps!

Thanks for posting your bidding history as it's always helpful to others.
While you're correct the Marina district does not offer 4 star bidding, both the Financial District and USW most certainly do have 4 star hotels. I'm curious what made you think they didn't? Knowing your free rebid zones is one of the most important factors in bidding on Priceline, so that you don't make a costly mistake!
Again, have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Ah I see how my previous post was confusing--I added the Financial District and USW to my original USE bid because I was fine staying at any of the 4* hotels in those three areas (all very close together), and when I didn't get an $80 room in any of those, I added the Marina since it was a free rebid zone.
