Hi,

I am looking forward to my first priceline booking (at least i will try)...

I allready read much about how to bid but i would still take the chance to ask for your advice on this.

I am looking for a two nights stay in Singapore from 9. - 11. Oktober in a 5-star Hotel.

I would prefer a 5-Star Hotel in Orchard District since the Hotels in City-Hall/Marina Bay are not so close to MRT as i have seen ! ?

What amount would you suggest to bid and in which order ?

What is supposed to be "a good deal" ?

Are there any bad 5-Star Hotels i could end up with ?

Greetings and thanks for your help !

Florian

Good afternoon. :)

What would be your desired max budget per night for hotel?

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Of course i would like to pay as little as possible, but as much as it will cost me !

The Date is fixed, the flights are booked, so there is really no other way, i can only win !

But what price can be considered a win ? and which hotels in singapore ( 5-Star ) can be considered a loss when you end up with them booking by priceline ?

Did you want to bid Orchard Rd up to your maximum before including other zones n the area. What is the best rate you're able to find at a 5* hotel thru conventional booking channels?

Hm,

i think i would prefer to get an orchard rd hotel !

So i would try orchard road up to my maximum and if that does not work out i would ad the bay area - but start lower again !!

is that possible ?

According to the Hotel List there are only two PRICELINE-Hotels with 5-star rating on Orchard !

Hilton and Marriott, both over 250 USD per night on agoda!

I really expected i would get a deal since the date is close, only two nights !

The Hilton could have higher then usual occupancy for either/both of these nites. With hotel direct rates of $245/nite your bids are still well under half of prevailing rates.

It may be hard to get room in Singapore during that period. It's end of Muslim fasting season, so typically Singapore gets a lot of visitors from neighboring countires to celebrate the end of muslim fasting season. Good luck in your search.
