Looking to book a hotel in Rome, Italy for 10/3-10/10.

Found the following 4 hotels on hotwire that look interesting:


4* Rome East, $69 per night
Amenities: boutique, fitness center, restaurant, business center, high speed internet

4* Rome South, $105 per night
(theory: Sheraton Roma? but it's a 3.5* on the pinned area)
Amenities: airport shuttle, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center

3.5* Rome Central, $182 per night
Amenities: restaurant, business center, laundry, high speed internet

1) Eurostars Roma Congress - this is appearing as a grey, 'non-opaque' listing on my search but at $99/nite. Clicking CONTINUE next to this listing shows the hotel name as Eurostars Roma Congress

2 The Sheraton Roma is a possibility, upgraded since the last time it was reported to the board. HOWEVER, this HOTWIRE listing shows a Tripadvisor rating for this property of 4.0/5.0 whereas the current TA rating of the Sheraton Roma is 3.5/5.0. This too may have changed since HOTWIRE last updated their TA info, but between this inconsistency and the star rating inconsistency i would be hesitant to conclude that it's this property.

3) Camelia Hotel Rome - the above matches this name, bu ti'm not currently seeing this property offered when searching for your dates above... i see a 4* hotel with just a Restaurant icon

this hotel you get without surprise for 55 EUR usually, as secret hotels at lastminute.com for 50 EUR/night, remember 0% recommened this hotel - check TA reviews.. nice but far outside, no pool!

Ultimately I managed to bid on priceline and got $151 for a 4* in Central Rome and got the Morgana Hotel.

Not the best in the world... but the location was what was needed.
