Hello, I am looking for a room in Chicago for Sept. 23 for my gf and myself. I will be going to a concert at the United Center so would like to stay close to that area without spending a fortune. I saw on Priceline the Habitat Suites At Pres Towers for $125 for the night. It is less than 2 mi. away. It says it is a fully furnished apt.with full kitchen. I can't seem to find much info on it. Has anyone stayed there? pros, cons? Priceline says it is only a 1*? I don't really need a apt. but saw it and for the price and being close to where I am going thought if it is nice why not. Can I do better without getting far from where I am going? Should I wait till a bit closer to book? Thanks.

Welcome to Betterbidding.
A few large/well-known condo buildings (see also MDA Apartments and the Fisher Building) in Chicago do rent out one or more of their rooms on services such as Orbitz. It appears that a couple of different companies own one or more apartments in this building. The price is also less than these units usually are on Orbitz.com These units seem as if they may be nicer or run better than the rest of the building, as the reviews of short-term renters of these particular units on tripadvisor are more positive than the reviews of long-term renters (which are mostly negative) in the PT complex.
I would suggest taking public transit (preferably a taxi, but could also be a bus) to the concert, as the area around UC is iffy.
The Presidential Towers is in the West Loop, but staying further East more in the middle of the Loop area would not be much further. HOTWIRE has what appears to be a possible match for the Hard Rock Hotel for $129, but you could also try bidding for a 4* on PRICELINE in the Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park area, as well. What would be your desired max budget for this stay?

If you would like to bid for the nearby Millennium Park/Loop/Grant Park area on PRICELINE, a bid of $110 for a 4* would have a moderate chance of being accepted, based upon the rates I'm seeing.
There is also a 4* in the Mag Mile/Streeterville area on HOTWIRE w/bed choice, fitness, restaurant, internet and business for $129. There is a 4/5 tripadvisor rating on the detail page for this particular listing. Based upon the amenity set, this could be the Hyatt, Hard Rock, Westin, Swiss or Sheraton. However, I'd guess the Hard Rock would be the most likely of the bunch.

3.5* Chicago (Millennium-Loop-Grant Park) ?'s
Hello, I have been bidding a few weeks now for a room in the Loop area for sept 23. I started at $70 and have been going up to $85 with no luck. Today I saw one for $92. Is $92 probably the best I am gonna find? Is there anyway to get a idea of what hotel it is? Thanks.

The amenities shown by PRICELINE are related to the star rating of the hotel, not the specific property... when you bid on PRICELINE there is no insight into the hotel you may received, it can be any hotel in the zone at the minimum star level you selected.
