Question about Car Rental insurance w/ Priceline

Anybody knows if I use a credit card that provide car rental insurance to bid Car Rental through Priceline, I should be covered with insurance?

Insurance coverage and policies are not 'standard' across all credit card companies... it is best to call your credit card company to confirm if your coverage will be in effect on a PRICELINE purchase.

Since the current bidding price for car rental with priceline is so high for July, I would like to make a backup reservation and try the last minute bidding w/ priceline. Anyone knows if there is any penalty with cancelling car rental reservation with Expedia? I would like to make a reservation for a economy car with Expedia (hertz) or should I do it at hertz directly instead?
