My hotel is booked, but a friend is wanting to go to St Louis, Downtown is pretty much booked so we're looking for as close as we can get. Here is what I found on Hotwire. Any ideas as to what it might be?

Also, FYI on my trip from this time last year...we didn't end up booking off Hotwire, a family friend was able to get us free rooms at the Lumiere hotel/casino. So that worked out rather nicely.

Nobody reading your Hotwire St. Louis thread will know to look here to learn that you got a free room thru a friend, please follow-up that thread with your decision for that trip.

Sorry, didn't even think to update that one since I didn't make the purchase on Hotwire...but I can see where people would like to know the outcome. Done.

I'm staying at the Four Seasons in Downtown St. Louis. Same family friend gambles too much and was able to get me free rooms there.

My friend is looking for something around $100 and nice. Nothing like that in Downtown St. Louis for those dates. He thought Forest Park seemed like a good option.

Didn't know if I should start a new topic or continue with this one... My friend ended up getting a room through Expedia. I guess he had originally booked his room through Expedia, but the hotel got overbooked so his reservations got booted, which is why I was helping him look for something else on Hotwire. Anyway, Expedia called him with another hotel in the area and let him have it at the same price.

I'm now heading up to St. Louis a day earlier and need to book something...I can't afford to book at the Four Seasons where we're getting free rooms Friday and Saturday. Hotwire has the following hotel. (I used the HOTWIRE link to do my search). Any ideas as to what it could be?

You were correct on that being the Ramada Plaza...another friend of mine booked that for himself.

Also, I ended up booking a 4 star in Downtown St Louis for $70.
