I contacted the hotel to see which rooms we would have(king/double), adding a meal plan, etc.; only to find that the "heated year-round pool" is not actually opened until May, and all they had was an indoor hottub. When I explained that we have a child that would benefit greatly from being able to swim after a long car ride, they were very nice and offered to release the deposit without penalty, stating that her brother has the same condition as my son and she fully understood. Marriott wanted Priceline to transfer us to another property they own (Springhill Suites), but PL said they could only cancel outright, then advised me to make new reservations "the old-fashioned way". So I guess I'm back to square-one.

Used Betterbidding's PRICELINE link to bid $50 each for two rooms in Montgomery, AL on 04/01/11. Had tried two earlier bids of $39 and $45. We are driving from Louisville, KY to Gulf Shores, AL, and had hoped for the Embassy Suites because of it's proximity to I-65, and complimentary breakfast, but won Courtyard By Marriott Montgomery 5555 Carmichael Road Montgomery, Alabama 36117 two rooms $50 each, taxes/fees $24.22 for a total of $124.22

We need two rooms in Montgomery, AL on 04/01/11, and two rooms in Huntsville/Decatur, AL on 04/09/11. I've been amazed at some of the bargains I've seen others have posted in these areas, but am curious if anyone knows what the Travelocity Top Secret Hotels are. In Montgomery, TTSH lists a 3*, 4/5 smiley faces customer reviews, pool, non-smoking facilty, shuttle, and hi-speed internet as the ammenities for $48. In Decatur, a 3*, 4/5 smiley faces, courtesy breakfast, non-smoking, hi-speed internet are the ammenities listed for $38. Any info/help is greatly appreciated, thanks much!
