Express deals (2 days ago): $64 for 4 star hotel (probably Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, resort fee $20) $59 for 4 star hotel and Casino (probably Westgate, resort fee $33.99) Bid up to $52 but no taker Last night, the $59 deal dropped to $45. Start from bidding $30 and got it at $42 with Westgate. Interestingly, the hotel confirmation clearly said "no hotel fee, hooray". I wonder what will happen when I check-out that morning, but I think I will still get charged resort fee eventually.

A quick question is that "if a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal does not specify the mandatory fee, then am I sure that I'm not going to be charged for resort fee upon check-out?" We are going on a road trip to UT for Zion and Bryce NPs and will stay in Vegas for one night only (6/30-7/1). Thus we simply want a decent place to stay without paying too much. Hi all, It's been a long time to post new bid here, I have been renting apartments for longer stays. Need to spend a night in San Diego this weekend with my girlfriend. I have tried 3-star bid up to $90 and 3.5-star bid up to 110 (from Sorrento to hotel circle and skip downtown SD) and didn't get anything, not even in hotel circle which was pretty surprising to my past PL experience. At one point, I declined an offer of Best Western Premier Del Mar Inn Hotel $135 (bid $110), but I believe I was close and moved on. I tried it a few days later and I got this Sheraton at $120 (self parking at $15 daily). BTW, I agree with some other bid posters, regardless of cities where hotels are located, that PL bidding is no longer a bargain as good as before. It is one of the main reasons now I use apartment rentals for long stays. So I come up a sudden plan to see super-bloom in Death Valley, and then spend a night in Vegas. Since it is quite last-minute and a short trip, I decide to skip those casino hotels. Initially I plan to book Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel via PL the usual way, $129 (no resort fee) while only a few rooms left. When checking the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals, there was 4 star NV - Las Vegas (Convention Center) at $78. Interestingly, it did not specify any guest review rating and hotel amenities. It was totally blank! After researching hotels around the convention center, only a few hotels could possibly be close to the 4* level. E.g. Courtyard By Marriott Las Vegas Convention Center (3*) and Residence Inn By Marriott Las Vegas Convention Center (3*). Thus I'm very sure it should be Renaissance. I think my gamble paid off and got this nice hotel at a bargain. A quite interesting bid process. Started $52 with Memphis East yesterday (Mon) and gave me a one-time offer at $63 (declined) while Express deal from the same area was $77. I didn't get anything up to $67. I wondered why the one-time offer was lower than the Express deal, then I found out that another Express deal was at $66, but for Memphis Southeast. I think it may be a bit late to do the bidding now (3.5* to 4*) I always bid before/around SFN-sponsored hotel booking starts (like late June to mid-July). When conference time is getting closer and closer, people are more anxious and just want to get rooms thru regular online bookings. Perhaps that's why not many bargain rooms are available for PRICELINE now. But you never know if someones would cancel any booking and/or more rooms will be available later in Aug or Sep.
