I'm doing a search for 11/5-11/7 in SLC Downtown areas. The Hotwire Easy View has a 3.5 star for $74 and it suggests it's a Hilton or Marriott. When I go to Hotwire, it states it is a boutique hotel (listed under amenities on EZ view as well) and I'm quite confident it's the Peery Hotel, which BB has located in Downtown South. The Hotwire map clearly puts the Peery in the north, and thus I think that's a correction to be made, and I also don't believe either the Hilton or Marriott are "boutique" hotels. In fact, when I click on book now, Hotwire tells me to hurry up and that the last person got the Peery Hotel. Also, when I try to book from the easy view screen, and fill in all my information (and login) to hotwire, it will never finish the transaction. If I start this from the Hotwire Tab in BetterBidding, it goes thru no problem. I've reported this before.

appreciate it. I never seem to find the easy bid from the front page! Blind I guess.... The only thing missing from that is the Hotwire "recommendation" information. I tend to use that filter from the get-go.

Was 98% sure this was the property being offered thanks to other threads whereby BetterBidding staff had suggested it was likely, but no previous wins were reported. The description and amenties (especially the bed choices) lined up so I was able to save about 15-20%. Started with a 3-star bid around $95 and rebid just adding a zone at a time (3 of 4 have 2.5 and 3 star hotels). No luck up to $115 final bid. Closed browser window and restarted process from betterbidding link again and repeated said strategy above using 2.5*. 4th and final bid was accepted increasing $5 each time.

Also, "last person got ......" was a clue and thats all I meant to imply Since no condo of any rating had ever been reported here as a win, and then I saw that the last winner with that rating won this property, that's a good clue. I saw it had 100% appoval on only a few reviews. Went to Trip Advisor and saw similiar high satisfaction rating including a complaint from someone who stated they booked it thru hotwire..... So while it wasn't guarranteed, I had a good clue given above. In the worst case I was prepared to take a deal others have raved about, whatever condo property it was. The reason I was focused on this property? I want a view from my room. A "beachfront hotel" is no guarrantee of a view. However this property states on their own webpage that every room has an ocean view.

this one came up and so did a little message stating the last person who bought got "littlr creek cove". no previous wins reported but my research stated it shouuld be good so I went for it. Saw what I believe to be same offer on PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for $62 but didn't show user ratings. Hotwire showed 85%, Needed airport shuttle and all airport area hotels were offered >$100 so this looks great.

linked to PRICELINE from this sight. Didn't bother with a comprehensive bid strategy because I didn't have a lot of time. Started with one of the Midtown areas and $165. Added MSG area at $172. Then added another area at $177. Finally added Empire State Bldg area at $185. Won.

Used the above link for HOTWIRE. This was for 3 people, not 2 even though there will be two adults. I wanted to increase the odds of having 2 beds rather than 1 king (which from their website is an option). The rate for 2 was about $9 cheaper than rate paid. used the link to HOTWIRE on this page. Didn't catch the amenities, but it's the only 4-star west of the strip (Palms is 4.5 star). Knew what I was getting and that's a fair price! $22 resort fee expected.

used PRICELINE link above. Started bidding at $75 and adding free rebid zones. Got to $90 with a miss and then won with $93. Best offer on Hotwire had been going up all day from low $90 to $107 at time of winning bid, the day before checkin.

Saw this listed on Priceline.Express for (I think it was) $74. Pretty sure it was Sheraton. Didn't see any 4-stars on Hotwire, and wanted to avoid the Little America which is a 3.5 star on Price.line and 4-star on Hot.wire. Started bid at $63. Got a reject and counteroffer in mid $70's. Raised to $65 with a free rebid (added an area without a 4-star) and was rejected. Repeated at $68.
