The room we were in on the 9th floor was very clean and no signs of rock star (or other) stains on the carpet! Décor was rather masculine (stripes and checks) for my tastes but no biggie. Once again we got a nice king room and no PL hassles. Parking is $18 per day. Had a city view with no additional cost requested-didn’t notice any noise. Much to my amusement, I was asked to sign a statement that I wouldn’t be throwing a party in the room! Great location for sightseeing and about a 20 minute walk to Dar Maghreb restaurant-for those who like Moroccan food! There were numerous clubs all around but by that time-last day of the trip our budget was blown out. The rooftop pool has a fabulous view of the city on all sides. I didn’t notice a particular kind of clientele-young or otherwise-seems like a fairly even mix of people. There is free internet in the Mezzanine though one girl seemed determined to hog it and I had to get the front desk involved to force her to adhere to the 15 min per person when others are waiting rule. Great bargain at $56 for a 3* hotel!

We stayed for one night 6/11/05 at this hotel. The car was pointed in the direction of the car park without any assistance with luggage, so we eventually got it from the P3 level to our room; reception staff are so uninterested that they do not listen to anything you say, you need to give them your name a few times then put it in print in front of them. I thought it might be just one, but when I stood aside and sought the assistance of another receptionist she had similiar skills.
The room was small but clean and had a TV that was properly tuned in.
Room service meal was excellent and reasonably priced - ends at 10pm though.
Buffet breakfast was ok and cost $12 or 13
Parking is $21 per night
Recommended for an overnight stay in Hollywood area but we probably bid too much at $75 because we wanted that area.

Tip..... Do not have great expectations here. Just completed a stay there (8/5-8/7) and this hotel is in poor shape.

They are currently renovating the place. The entire front is covered in scaffold and construction starts bright and early.

The rooms are in poor shape. Two rooms we had - stained/torn carpeting, chips in furniture, holes/tears in drapes.

Staff tried to be accomodating but acknowledged poor room conditions throughout.

May have a 3* name (Hyatt), but more like a 2* right now.

Renovations to be completed in early 2008.
