I hadn't stayed at an "extended stay" hotel before, so I was a bit wary, but when I got to this one I found it perfectly nice. It is one notch above Motel 6 and aptly rated as 2*. At the desk I was told that I had two rooms reserved. I only bid for one. They said I shouldn't worry about it. Priceline only charged me once, for one room, but I'll keep a watch for extra charges on my card.

The first room I got had problems with the toilet, so they promptly moved me to another. There, everything was clean and in good working order.

The room was simple but comfortable. It was an efficiency studio with a kitchen: full-size fridge, sink, range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker. I can't remember if there was a dishwasher. There was a set of dishes and silverware for two that was very basic and limited.

The room had one queen bed; dresser; a metal bar in a small enclave instead of a closet; iron and board; one phone by the bed and a phone jack near the table in the kitchen for your laptop.

Maid service is weekly, with a "refresher" mid-week. Nevertheless, someone came in to make my bed and replace towels daily.

Free parking, local and 800 calls.

No high-speed Internet. The only reason why I would prefer to not get this hotel. The inconvenience was not too great though, as every Panera (St. Louis Bread Company) here provides free wireless Internet.

Did not see (didn't look for) fitness center or pool - don't think there are. They do have a laundry room.

Front desk: very friendly.

No additional taxes/fees charged, they didn't even ask for a credit card for incidentals.

There are many 2- and 3-star hotels in the area - all appear very nice and well kept.
