This hotel is located Near Strip West. Transportation to the Strip is provided in the form of a shuttle bus that runs to their other properties-The Barbary Coast and The Sun Coast.

The Orleans offers free valet parking, but there are also huge lots for self parking. There is a big parking garage, but I don't know if there is a fee involved, as we did not use it.

Check-in was fast and friendly. Our request for a non-smoking room with two beds was met without a hassle. The room was outstanding with a sitting area, spacious bathroom and desk. The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Complementary toiletries were restocked daily. Internet service was available for a charge of $10 per day.

The Orleans has many security guards present in the casino and the parking lot. There is also a security guard posted at the elevators leading to the hotel rooms who asks to see a room key before allowing you to proceed.

The hotel has two outdoor pools (one large pool and one kiddie pool) and an outdoor hot tub. There is a lifegaurd on duty as well as a concession area that stocked the towels as well as things for purchase such as sunscreen and cabana rental. You could order room service to be delivered pool side. For non-gaming entertainment, there is a video arcade, a movie theater and a bowling alley. The casino also offers child care at a cost of around $6 per hour.

There are many food and drink choices at the Orleans. You could choose from Subway, Terrible Mike's (hamburgers and the like), an Italian restaurant very similar to Macaroni Grill, Koji (Sushi bar and Chinese), Seattle's Best Coffee, a steak house, an oyster bar and a huge buffet restaurant-just to name a few. There are also 3-4 bars spread around the casino.

The two big shows that they were advertising were for comedian Steven Wright and singer Neil Sedeka. Not major headliners, but it could be fun.

I thought that this hotel was a great find and would not mind staying here again in the future.
